The Nissan Rogue is a recent addition to the compact SUV market and aggressively combines affordability with entry level luxury. Standard on all models are anti-lock brakes, cruise control, remote keyless entry and a stereo with an auxiliary jack. Starting in 2011, the S and SV trims offer leather seats and a luxury navigation system. Safety systems include the already mentioned ABS, six airbags and brake-force distribution. It received all 4’s and 5’s from the NHTSA crash test. A common complaint is the continuously variable transmission. While the 170 HP engine is a strong fit for the class, the CVT can hunt for gears and doesn’t really help at the pump.
