2010 Dodge Charger

Carsabi Fair Price

$18,912

If one looks beyond the current generation, the Dodge Charger is an odd duck. The early generations (starting in 1966) were powerful, but the Malaise Era (1975-1982) sapped a lot of power and like the Ford Mustang the Charger became an odd sort of sporty compact until 1987. The first reboot was in 2006, when a Charger could be had with either a 250 HP V6 or a 340 HP V8. A special model was available with 425 HP, and suspension tuning was common in other trim lines. In spite of the high beltline and poor visibility, space is good for occupants, and an all-wheel drive keeps people from going into trees. The latest Chargers’ power ranges from 292 to 470 HP, and can be used to power rear or all-wheel drive. Keep an eye on the eight-speed transmission, which offers significantly better fuel economy than other options. Safety scores are good, with side impact crashes causing the most problems.
